A unique concert will take place on April 28th at 20:00 at the fantastically atmospheric House of Chamber Music in the heart of Yerevan.

On this special spring evening, a virtuoso pianist, master of delicate performance of chamber music, and laureate of international competitions - Tigran Berkelyan, will play a very special programme, “The Universe of Neoclassics”, which will feature piano performances by such masters of neoclassical music as Ludovico Einaudi and Hans Zimmer, Max Richter and Olafur Arnalds, as well as a mystical riddle, are the Celtic sounds of Enya. 

Timeless music that all generations can appreciate. This is the spirit of Tigran Berkelyan’s concert “The Universe of Neoclassics”. We invite you, together with Tigran, to plunge into a journey into the world of her majesty of music.

PERFORMERS 

 Tigran Berkelyan

Tigran Berkelyan was born in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) in 1988. He began his music studies at the age of seven at the music school named after him. Kushnaryan in Yerevan and then at the musical ten-year school named after them. Tchaikovsky in the class of Margarita Akopyan. In 2006, he continued his studies with Igor Yavryan at the Komitas State Conservatory. After graduating from the EGC, he entered the master's program at the University of Agder (UIA) in Kristiansand (Norway).

 Tigran took mastery lessons from Yuri Hayrapetyan, Ashley Voss, Marianna Shirinyan, Steven Kovacevich, and Einar Neckleberg.

 Laureate of over ten international competitions and festivals, including the prestigious International Competition named after Griga (Norway). He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Armenia, Russia, Greece, Israel and Norway.

 Currently, he teaches at a particular music school named after him. P.I. Tchaikovsky. Within the framework of the state cultural support program and the support of the Canadian, Atken Armenian Foundation gives master classes in many regions of Armenia.

2010. Participation in the International Chamber Music Festival in Thessaloniki (Greece).

2010. 1st prize and special prize at the II Elena Ter-Ghevondyan accompanist competition.

2009 2nd prize at the VI G. Sarajev Piano Competition

2008. 1st prize for the best performance of works of extensive form.

2007 Participation in the festival of modern and traditional art, “Gamar Art”

2004 2nd prize at the competition of young performers “In Memory of Vladimir Horowitz”
