"American Psycho" is a unique film that is both a comedy and a horror, a social satire and a surreal experiment.

In the screen adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's scandalous novel, director Mary Harron managed to show luxury life as creepy, pathetic and funny. And the great chameleon actor Christian Bale appeared here in one of his most iconic roles — a caricature of a Manhattan yuppie leading a gloomy double life.

We watch the film on its 25th anniversary and are surprised at how modern and relevant the cinema has remained. We also listen to a short lecture about the film from film scholar Pavel Orlov and enjoy the view from the rooftop onto the sunset Republic Square.
