“How are you?” asks the director from people leaving a Prague subway station. The short answers of tired passers-by are followed in subsequent scenes by statements from Czech youth, recorded from an almost unbearable proximity. Furious drunkenness is replaced by tender embraces, and behind the harsh words lie love that always falls short.
